Echocardiogram

An Echocardiogram is a test of the movement of the heart, heart valves, and blood flow using ultrasound waves to produce a visual display used for the diagnosis and monitoring of heart disease. The test shows how the blood moves through the heart chambers and heart valves as well.


Prep before procedure:

 No specific prep is necessary.

What to bring with you: 

 Insurance Card

 Driver’s License

 Prescription from your doctor

What to wear: Comfortable, loose clothing.

After the procedure: No restrictions on activity or diet. You can go about your normal activities.

Exam results: Ultrasound procedures are read by our Board Certified Radiologist. The report will be sent to the ordering physician generally within 24-48 hours.
